- Original oil painting on canvas on board from the first part of 20C.
- Signed AU. Probably Axel Ulmer (1884-1961), listed Danish artist.
- Began his artistic education at 15 in a Technical School for 4 years. Later the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen for 6 years. But it was a study trip to Paris that had the biggest influence on his work, his was great admirer of Cezanne and Renoir. He was a colorist, in his work he emphasized colors as much as texture.
- Known specially for his portraits and model paintings of women.
